Overview
Simple Video Editor is a desktop video editing application for macOS. It is designed to process your media locally on your computer.
Information we collect
The app does not require an account and does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, location, or contacts for analytics or advertising.
Media and project files you open or create (videos, audio, images, subtitles, and project documents) remain on your Mac, including any temporary files the app stores in its application support folder so editing can continue.
How your media is used
- Imported files are used only to edit, preview, and export projects you create.
- The app accesses files you explicitly select through macOS open/save dialogs (App Sandbox with user-selected file access).
- We do not operate a cloud service that uploads or stores your videos for this app.
Sharing of information
We do not sell your data. The app does not share your media with third parties. If you export or share a finished video yourself (for example by email or AirDrop), that sharing is under your control.
Third-party services
Distribution and beta testing may involve Apple platforms (such as the App Store or TestFlight). Apple’s handling of account and device information is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.
Data retention
Project files, bookmarks to media you selected, and managed temporary media stay on your device until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling may leave files in your user Library unless you remove them manually.
Children’s privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- You choose which files the app may open.
- You can delete projects and exported files at any time in Finder.
- You can remove the app to stop local processing.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app’s behavior changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
